Visiting Disneyworld in 2 weeks. My 11 YO son has autism and an energy production disorder. Standing in line waiting will deplete his energy. He doesn't need or want a wheelchair but too heavy for stroller. What other options are there?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

I'm happy to hear you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort so soon. The decorations and festivities for Disney's Holiday Events and Celebrations are in full swing. We enjoy visiting during the holiday season with our autistic son and love watching all of his spontaneous developmental improvements.

In efforts to afford all Guests an enjoyable and inclusive experience may I offer Disney's Services for Guests with Disabilities for your preparation? This planning tool offers Disney's Disability Access Service (DAS) designed for Guests who are unable to wait in the conventional queues as a result of their disabilities. Please visit any Disney Theme Park Guest Relations to discuss this option for your son and ensure all in your travel party are with you, including your son. If granted, the Cast Member will describe explicitly how to utilize the service, which, can be used in conjunction with Disney's FastPass+ Planning.

Disney's Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities is also handy, especially the Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilties and the helpful planning tips on page ten.

    Best Disney Wishes!
