Visiting Disneyworld on Veterans Day 2024, which park will have the smallest crowd on that day?

    Welcome to planDisney, Angela!

November is a practically perfect time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Around that time, you'll begin seeing holiday decorations around property and the weather is transitioning out of the rainy season. Also, you must visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for its yummy international delights and buzzing atmosphere.

I would need to channel my inner Fairy Godmother to know for sure which of the four theme parks will have the lowest attendance. However, as a local to the Disney Parks, I can tell you that any national or international holiday brings slightly higher attendance across the board at the theme parks. The good news is that that weekend is not shared with the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend this year, so you won't experience the elevated crowd levels that the participants and their families bring.

In general, on any given day, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park usually has the lowest attendance. It tends to open and close earlier than the other theme parks because it is the home of several majestic animals. Although the theme park's iconic Tree of Life and state-of-art attractions like Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest are draws for Disney lovers, landmarks like Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park and newer rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT are magnetic.

AN EXTRA GEM: Because the theme park crowds can't be predicted, I highly recommend being prepared to use the Disney Genie+ system via the My Disney Experience App. This is a paid tool that is super helpful when you want to skip the attraction standby queues. At the moment, you can purchase Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes as early as midnight on the day of your theme park visit. I can't imagine a busy Disney day without it.

I just know that you will have the BEST visit, Angela. If you have additional Disney vacation planning questions, give us a holler here at planDisney. Any one of the panelists will be more than happy to help you.

    Magic always,
