We are visiting Disneyworld this summer and thinking about buying the new quickservice dining plan. Is it possible to order a tableservice meal and having the value deducted from my plan balance, or is that not allowed?

    Dave:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

I love the dining plans because they help our family stick to our budget!  I wish I could bring you better news, but you can't double up your quick service meals for a table service like you can double up table service for a Signature Dining or dinner show.  You can use quick service credits for snacks, but you lose the value of the plan.

My suggestion: if you want to venture off the plan for one meal, pay it out of pocket.  If you think you might want more than one meal, take a good look at the Basic Dining Plan.  It's actually a better value than the Quick Service Plan.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
