I will be visiting DisneyWorld for one day only in February- planning only for the Magic Kingdom since little time. What is the best advice for rides and attractions with a 20 month old and a 6 year old? What time to get there for the parade?

    Hi Rich!!!

Thank you for your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!!!

I think that the Magic Kingdom is a wonderful choice if you only have one day in the theme parks.

There are so many attractions that your 20 month old and six year old can enjoy together!  Some of our three and a half year old's favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom are the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, it's a small world, Mickey's Philharmagic, the TTA Peoplemover, the Carousel of Progress, and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

As you can see, there are many attractions that both of your kids can do as these do not have a height requirement.  There are only a handful of rides that your 20 month old wouldn't be able to do because of their height.

There are two parades at the Magic Kingdom. The Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade starts at 3:00pm.  I would suggest finding a spot for the parade at least 30 minutes in advance.  There are always a lot of great spots in Frontierland.  The Main Street Electrical Light Parade will be performed twice on the day you are there:  9:00pm and 11:00pm.  I would suggest finding a spot for this parade at least 45 minutes to an hour in advance for the 9:00pm show.  The 11:00pm show is always less crowded and you could easily get a spot about 30 minutes in advance.

Please let us know how else we can help you!!!

    Have a magical trip!!
