Hi, there!
James, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. And with
little ones in tow! You're sure to have a magical stay.
You'll find that a lot has changed at the Walt Disney World Resort since your last visit. One thing hasn't, though - lots of magical experiences in and out of the theme parks! I'm happy to share my best tips and recommendations for your upcoming vacation.
Magic Kingdom Park is an absolute must-do for any family traveling with small children. This iconic theme park has lots of family-friendly attractions which means they're perfect for Guests of all ages and sizes! My kiddos have always most loved the attractions in Fantasyland including Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world," Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, and Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. As a mom,
I most love Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh because these attractions feature interactive queues. My kids actually get to play while they wait to ride! How cool is that? There are two can't-miss entertainment offerings at Magic Kingdom Park, but it may be difficult to catch both with your girls. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is scheduled in the afternoons. It's a truly wonderful performance filled with beloved Disney Characters and incredible music. My children haven't actually seen it though, because we always spend the afternoon resting at our Disney Resort hotel. After a dip in the pool and a nap, we're all recharged to return to the theme parks in the evening! We prefer this routine because it allows us to stay late enough in the evening to see Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom Park's nighttime spectacular.
My kids absolutely love the wild adventures they experience at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. My oldest says that Kilimanjaro Safaris is his absolute favorite attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort! What's not to love about a real African safari on the savanna? There are many more animal encounters to experience throughout this park too! Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo - The Musical are both can't-miss shows that your whole family is sure to love. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park also offers incredible nighttime entertainment!
At
Epcot, your little girls will love exploring SeaBase, which is home to two family-friendly attractions; The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk With Crush. I bet they'll also enjoy exploring Journey Into Imagination with Figment! No visit to Epcot is complete without a trip around the world - World Showcase, that is. In this area of the park, my kids' can't-miss attractions include Frozen Ever After in Norway and the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in Mexico.
Exciting things are happening at
Disney's Hollywood Studios right now, but this is the one theme park I recommend skipping during your short visit with your daughters. I think you'll find more age-appropriate attractions and activities at the other three! You may also want to consider visiting Magic Kingdom Park for two days and then just one other theme park for your third park day.
I hope this was helpful, James. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
