Howdy Jennifer!
I’m so excited to hear that you are about to experience your first vacation to Walt Disney World! My family and I will never forget the first time we walked through the gates of the Magic Kingdom into Main Street USA and saw Cinderella's Castle. It is truly a magical feeling. I see that you would like to know where you can find the times for all of the fantastic experiences happening at the parks, so let's get right to it.
The best way to see the daily experiences available at the parks before your arrival is on the
Walt Disney World website. If you hover over the Tickets & Parks tab, you will see a drop-down and, to the right, a light blue box labeled "Explore Our Parks." Right under that, you will see a link that says See All Hours & Events Calendar. From here, you can change the dates and see all of the Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment, Parades, Shows, and any rides that might be closed for refurbishment. This is a great way to start planning out which experiences you would like to do and see while at the parks.
One thing to keep in mind is that all events are subject to change without notice. For that reason, I recommend downloading the
My Disney Experience app. You can log in to the app using the same username and password you created for the Walt Disney World website. Once logged in, scroll down until you see the four icons for each park. There you will find the Today’s Showtimes button. Here you can find current information on Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment, Parades, Shows, and any rides that may be closed for refurbishment. I’ve found that if an experience is canceled, you may receive a push notification, so be sure the app is set to allow them.
One last tip I would like to share is to explore the My Disney Experience app so you can take advantage of its features while you’re in the parks. You can see all the plans you have created for dining and
Lightning Lanes, which helps you decide which parade you would like to see. You can see current ride wait times, order food at participating restaurants, and use mobile checkout at select stores. It really helps my family have a more magical time while in the parks.
Jennifer, I hope this helps with the planning of your first Walt Disney World vacation. If you’ve the opportunity, stop back by and let me know how it went. And of course, if you have any further questions, my fellow panelist and I are here to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
