When visiting Disneyworld, we will be enjoying the benefits of the Deluxe Dining Plan but understand that waiters and waitresses are to be tipped. How will we be able determine the amount of the tip to leave in relationship to the amount of the bill?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You will love the convenience of having the 2016 Disney Deluxe Dining Plan on your vacation!

You are correct: For most Table-Service locations, gratuity is not included. At the end of your meal, you will be given a check that details what the total amount would have been without your Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. The bottom of the check will also indicate a suggested amount of 18% and 20% to make it easier for you to calculate the tip. These are just suggested amounts, and you are free to tip whatever amount you deem appropriate.

There are a few locations and situations where 18% gratuity is automatically added. For example, parties with six or more Guests will have gratuity automatically added. Certain venues such as Cinderella's Royal Table and the Dinner Shows, as well as Private In-Room Dining, include gratuity.

I hope this answers your question, Elizabeth. Please stop back and let me know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
