Hi Emily! Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you have done a great job of researching, planning, and preparing for a wonderful vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort! I often get asked when the best time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth is and my answer is "soon." No matter the time of year, I just want to be close to my next vacation!
You will want to visit Guest Relations when you arrive for your first day at the theme parks. Let the Cast Member know that you would like to get a
Disability Access Service (DAS) pass for your visit. They will ask you some questions, including why you need the pass, and that is a great time to present the letter from your doctor. Make sure your entire party is with you when you obtain the pass so they can be added to it. While you will be the main person with the DAS pass and will receive the return time for attractions and
enter the attractions first, the rest of your party will need to be added so they can follow you into the attractions.
If you visit the link I included above for DAS pass, you can view all of the locations that can set it up for you. The good news is that once you have it, it is good for your entire visit, so you only have to set it up on the first day!
I hope this helps, Emily! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
