We are visiting Disneyland in 2 weeks. Are there any weight restrictions for rides I weigh 400 pounds.

Hi there, Kelsea! Welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe your Disneyland Resort adventure is less than two weeks away?! I can practically hear the music on Main Street, U.S.A., and smell that sweet pumpkin spice magic floating through the air. Planning ahead like this is such a great way to make sure your upcoming visit is full of comfort, confidence, and unforgettable fun!

Let’s chat about those incredible attractions waiting for you! The great news is that the vast majority of Disneyland Resort ride vehicles can comfortably accommodate most Guests. The main consideration for every attraction is that the safety restraint—whether it’s a lap bar, seat belt, or overhead harness—must securely lock into place. Once you hear that satisfying “click,” you’ll be ready to blast off to outer space, race through Radiator Springs, or sail off to Never Land with ease!

Because everyone’s comfort can vary depending on ride design, some Guests find that certain attractions—like the Incredicoaster—feel a bit more snug due to the overhead shoulder restraints. Others, such as Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion (which will be decked out for the spooky season during your visit!), offer a wider seat with extra room to stretch out. If you’d like a little extra peace of mind before boarding, you can always chat with a friendly Cast Member at the entrance—they’re true experts at helping each Guest find their perfect fit and will gladly assist with a test seat when available.

And since your visit happens during one of the most boo-tiful times of the year—Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort—you’re in for a treat! Both parks are adorned with frightfully fun décor, from the pumpkins lining Main Street, U.S.A., to the eerie glow of Radiator Screams over at Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll even spot some of your favorite Disney pals donning their Halloween finest—Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse look especially spooktacular in their seasonal attire, perfect for capturing some picture-perfect memories!

Kelsea, I hope this helps you feel excited and assured as your magical countdown continues! You’re about to experience the Happiest Place on Earth at one of its most enchanting times of year—and I just know it’ll be a spellbinding celebration of fun, laughter, and memories you’ll treasure forever. If any other questions pop up before your trip, please reach back out to us here at planDisney. We’d be ghoul-ighted to help!

See ya real soon—and have a frightfully fabulous visit!
