Hi, Traci!
Hooray—your first visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth” is just around the corner! It sounds like you’re excited for all of the magic that awaits you at the Disneyland Resort.
The World of Color Picnic meal option was actually discontinued in early June. However, there are still other
World of Color dining packages available that include tickets for a reserved viewing section in Paradise Park. Some prefer the tickets that come with the Carthay Circle Restaurant dining option because you’re guaranteed a spot in the Center Stage Viewing Area, which is a circular portion of Paradise Park perfectly aligned with Mickey’s Fun Wheel, the main focal point of the show. It’s also set back a bit from the edge of the water, so you’re not as likely to get wet from the mist the show’s powerful water fountains create and you can take in all the elements of the show from a great vantage point.
Other World of Color dining options include Cove Bar, Ariel’s Grotto and Wine Country Trattoria. My family and I dined at Wine Country Trattoria, an Italian-themed restaurant in Disney California Adventure Park, just last week and really enjoyed the 3-course prix fixe dinner we had before taking in the spectacular show.
I hope this helps, Traci, and that you have a perfectly-pixie dusted first visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please feel free to write back with more questions as you put the finishing touches on your vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
