When visiting any Disneyland theme park resort or cruise line? How can I verify my veteran VA disability rating and status?

    Hello, Tyson,

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney. And thank you for your dedication and service to our nation. I think it's terrific that the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disney Cruise Line offer ways to show gratitude to you as well.

Certain promotional tickets at the Disneyland Resort and at the Walt Disney World Resort are available for eligible members of the U.S. Military and their immediate parties. Likewise, the Disney Cruise Line often offers special rates to members of the military on upcoming cruises. Valid photo identification from the eligible member of the party is required to activate and use those promotional tickets or sail with promotional cruise fares. Here are forms of ID, which must not be expired or otherwise invalid, that may be used to verify eligibility for using the Disney Military Promotional Tickets and promotional cruise fares:

    • Next Generation Uniformed Services ID (USID) Card (with eligible affiliation)

    • Select legacy USID card types, such as:
      • DD Form 2
      • DD Form 1173 or 1173-1 (must indicate "Spouse," "SP," or "DEC-DB")
      • DD Form 2765 (must indicate "DAV" or "DAVPRM" for 100% Disabled American Veterans)
    • Common Access Card (CAC, except cards that indicate "Civilian" or "Contractor" affiliation)

Any member of your party using the Disney Military Promotional Ticket will need to be accompanied by the eligible U.S. Military person or spouse when the tickets are first activated.

At the Disneyland Resort in California, a handy feature of the new entry gates is that they digitally link each Guest's photo with their park ticket for easier verification afterward. So if someone needs to separate from the party after the tickets are activated, that is OK. If a member of your group decides to head back to your Disneyland Resort hotel for a break or do some shopping at the Downtown Disney District, they will be able to re-enter the theme parks again without showing any ID or otherwise needing to re-verify eligibility. That includes subsequent days of validity for the park tickets. The touch points at Disney World in Florida allow for similar flexibility using finger scans instead of photos.

I hope that helps clarify things for you, Tyson. Please feel free to submit additional questions for clarification or for other support in planning your adventure to The Happiest Place on Earth, The Most Magical Place on Earth, or aboard the Disney Cruise Line!

    Have a magical time, Tyson!
