Hi there, I am visiting Disneyland on Sunday I have booked my tickets as a selected date and I am able to see them on the app however this does not allow me to click on them or anything at this point is this normal? And then will they load on the day?

    Hey, howdy, hey, Beth!

Sunday is the start of a rootin’ tootin’ time at the Disneyland Resort in sunny Southern California! I’m so glad you get to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth so soon.

Let’s go over a few things to double-check what you will need for your visit:

    1. Theme park tickets
    2. Theme park reservations
    3. Disneyland mobile app

First, your theme park admission will be your key to the Disneyland Resort. Your Disney eTickets will be activated upon your first entry into a theme park.

In addition to valid theme park admission, theme park reservations are required for each Guest of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Most Guests automatically book park reservations when purchasing tickets. Your ticket purchase confirmation email will likely include verification of your park reservations. You can also verify your park reservations on the "My Theme Park Reservations" page of the Disneyland Resort website.

The Disneyland mobile app is your portable portal to Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the Downtown Disney District, and your Disneyland Resort Hotel. With your tickets linked to your Disney account, you will find your eTickets waiting for you in the “Tickets & Passes” screen accessed from the ☰ feature menu of the app.

The tickets consist of a description of the tickets and a barcode that the Cast Member at the park entrance will scan. At that point, your ticket is activated and the Cast Member will also hand you a printed copy of your tickets. You may choose to use either the printed ticket cards or the tickets stored in your Disneyland app for park re-entry and for redeeming scheduled return times at Lightning Lanes.

Tony’s Tip: There are a few other screens of the Disneyland app we can review now too. These will also be accessible from the ☰ feature menu. The “Future Plans” screen displays any park reservations and dining reservations booked for dates in the future. The “My Hotel Reservation” screen shows information about your stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel. You can check in from there. And when your room is ready for you, you may even use that screen to access a digital key to unlock your hotel room door. Finally, the “Tip Board” and “My Genie Day” give you access to the phenomenal cosmic power of the Disney Genie service. Genie provides recommendations for attractions, dining, and more. Tell Genie your wishes and Genie will generate a suggested itinerary at 7:00 AM each day of your visit. You can also use the Genie screens to purchase and manage the Disney Genie+ service and to purchase and book return times to individual Lightning Lanes for attractions not included with Genie+.

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Beth!
