Hi there, Anthony! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner! I'm sure you're getting excited, even though it seems you may be faced with some last-minute changes. Never fear! I'll throw on my super-suit and help you get the answer you're looking for before your visit!
Good news, Anthony. Changing the name on a
ticket is an easy fix. In fact, you don't have to do any advance planning at all. When Guests arrive at the entrance of the Disneyland theme parks, the Cast Members at the turnstiles will scan their tickets and take a photo of that Guest which is then assigned to that particular ticket for its entire length. The ticket's name doesn't have to match the Guest who will be using it, as long as an adult uses an adult ticket or a child uses a child ticket. Many Guests purchase a group of tickets all in one Guest's name, then just assign each ticket once they arrive at the theme parks. Ka-Chow!
While this is very convenient for your situation, as it allows for changes to be made up to the last possible second, you can change the name on the ticket if you'd like to do so ahead of time. Simply call a Cast Member over at the
Ticket Services Line and they can switch the name on the ticket over the phone. While not necessary, it can help keep things a bit more organized if you're traveling with a larger group or if you'd just prefer the names to be correct in your
My Disneyland Account.
If you want to add a little extra magic to your park day, you may consider purchasing
Disney Genie+ Service. Guests with Disney Genie+ will be able to enjoy faster ride access through the Lightning Lane to attractions of their choice throughout the day. I find that this is a convenient time-saving tool, allowing me to experience more Disney magic in one day!
Best of luck to the Guest on the verge of a big promotion, Anthony! May all the pixie dust fly your way!
Until next time,
Ashley
