Greetings, Breann!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your wonderful questions. I can't wait for your fall vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth. Even though you won't be heading to Mickey's Halloween Party, there are still so many amazing ways to celebrate
Halloween Time throughout the Disneyland Resort. You will still be able to enjoy amazing autumn-inspired foods, ride limited-time Halloween-themed attractions, and meet Characters dressed in their Halloween best.
On days when Mickey's Halloween Party is not taking place, there will still be some nighttime entertainment for you to enjoy. Make sure you visit the
Daily Events Schedule and select "Parades" and "Fireworks & Nighttime Spectaculars" on the days of your trip. Currently it looks like you will be able to enjoy the Paint the Night and Pixar Play Parades on your trip as well as "Remember...Dreams Come True" Fireworks Spectacular on your final night. I'm so excited for the return of this fireworks show that celebrates the history and magic of Disneyland.
Like you, I am sad to see "a bug's land" close, but there are many ways for toddlers to have fun in Disney California Adventure Park. My toddler loves riding The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, and Toy Story Midway Mania. If your little one loves Cars they will also enjoy the sights and attractions (with a 32" height requirement) in Cars Land. Another wonderful spot for toddlers is the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail where they can burn of some energy in a unique environment. My son loves the shaking bridges and big slides.
I hope this helps, and I know you and your toddler will have an amazing time!
