We will be visiting Disneyland Resort this weekend, and we are bringing my mother who has had a hip surgery, what information does she need in order to rent a wheelchair, and can the wheelchair be used in Downtown Disney?

    Hi Jeana!
What a great way to distract your mom and send her off to a speedy recovery!
I'm sure she'll love to spend time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Wheelchair rentals are certainly available at the Disneyland Resort.
The wheelchair rental office is located to the right of the Disneyland Park main entrance.
Currently, there is a $20 deposit required for a wheelchair rental and the daily rate is $12 for a manual wheelchair. Keep in mind there are also a limited number of Electric Conveyance Vehicles available. If your mom is familiar with ECVs, you have choices!
Now, as far as using the wheelchair around the Downtown Disney District, that's not a problem, as long as the guest returns the wheelchair to the rental office by the end of the day.
    I hope this helps.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
    Have a Magical trip!
