Hi there, we are visiting Disneyland Resort for the first time from the UK. Our park tickets are on my phone but is it possible to receive physical tickets to take home as a souvenir ?? Many thanks Peter

A very warm welcome to you, Peter, from all of us at planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by with your question. I'm so excited to hear that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time and I am so happy to help with your question.

I have wonderful news to share with you, Peter. When the Cast Member scans your tickets at the entrance gate, they will take your picture and you will also be given a paper ticket. You can use this ticket to enter and exit the theme park as you please throughout the day and throughout your stay. And just like you said, it also makes a lovely little keepsake to remember your magical trip.

Before I go, I have some fun tips to share for your first visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Upon entering Disneyland Park, I recommend swinging by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. to ask a Cast Member for a complimentary "1st Visit!" button. It's a fun way to mark the occasion and, again, a nice little souvenir that you can take home to remember your visit. These buttons can also be found in Disney California Adventure Park at the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street.

If you're staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, make sure to take advantage of the early park entry benefit. When enjoying this benefit at Disneyland Park, I always make sure to head over to Fantasyland to soar over London on Peter Pan's Flight. This attraction is quite popular and the line can get long throughout the day so it's nice to take flight early. I also recommend finding your way over to Alice in Wonderland (also in Fantasyland). This attraction is unique to Disneyland and you won't want to miss it.

You'll also get to enjoy all the fun of the Disney100 Celebration during your stay. There are beautiful platinum and purple decorations around the resort, festive foods and two new nighttime spectaculars to behold. If you're looking for some extra special food offerings, I recommend heading over to the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival that runs through April 25. I visited in early March and enjoyed it so much, I'm making a return visit later this month.

No matter what you decide to do, I know it will be magical because you will be making memories to last a lifetime. I hope this has been helpful, Peter. If you have other questions as you continue to plan, please come back to ask us - even ask me directly. I wish you continued happy planning and a most magical first visit!
