Hi Michael, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort just before
Halloween Time begins. The spookily fun season is scheduled to return on August 22, 2025. So, what can we expect for our favorite eerie estate in New Orleans Square? Let's talk about it!
As part of Halloween Time, the
Haunted Mansion will transform, featuring frightfully festive touches inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. How fun is it to see Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, and other characters at different points of the Doom Buggy tour? I love it!
Haunted Mansion will likely be closed for a few weeks in August so the holiday makeover can materialize and be complete by the first day of Halloween Time. There's a chance it will be closed during your visit. But Michael, we won't know for sure until the
Hours & Event Calendar is updated to reflect August dates. The calendar is generally updated to look as far as six weeks out, so we should know more for your trip around the beginning of July. At that point, you'll be able to check the "Closed for Refurbishment" section on the one-day view for mid-August dates. If the Haunted Mansion will be unavailable, it would likely show up there.
The good news about the timing of your visit, Michael, is that you'll be able to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of the
70th Anniversary Celebration. Paint the Night, Wondrous Journeys, and the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade are fantastic, and I'd recommend adding them high on your list. Take a photo of Mickey and his pals in their colorful anniversary outfits, and browse the merchandise at the shops along Main Street, U.S.A. You can visit the
Disney Parks Blog to view a complete guide to the celebration.
Michael, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort in a few months. Please reach out if you have any other questions before your trip. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
