If visiting Disneyland Park for the day, would a restaurant at Downtown Disney or Pixar Hotel be a shorter walk and how far?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Jamie! Thank you for visiting and bringing us your question.

I'm delighted to hear you have an upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! There is so much to discover at the resort, from Theme Parks and beyond.

If you wish to venture outside Disneyland Park for a meal, I recommend checking out the Downtown Disney District. Not only is it closer than the Pixar Place Hotel, but it is also steps away from the Esplanade (the area between the two parks.) You may even have the option of arriving or departing from Downtown Disney via the Disneyland Monorail. There are two stops: 1) Tomorrowland Station and 2) Downtown Disney District Station. You can check the monorail's hours of operation on the Disneyland App.

You will find delicious dining options at Downtown Disney, from quick service to table service and restaurants that accept reservations. There is something for everyone! A few of my favorites are Ballast Point Brewing Co. and Earl of Sandwich. I also love Beignets Expressed and Salt & Straw for dessert. I would also consider looking into the newest dining locations that have recently opened, such as Din Tai Fung and Céntrico.

Pixar Place Hotel may be a farther walk, but consider checking out the other two closer Disneyland Resort Hotels for a meal. GCH Craftsman Bar and Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disneyland Hotel, respectively, are some of my favorites!

Jamie, I hope you find this helpful. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again.

    Your Pal,
