Hi there, Dorian!
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you'll be celebrating Halloween at the Disneyland Resort, it's the perfect spooky (but not scary) place, in my opinion. I'm sure you'll have a ghoulishly great time!
Even though Halloween is a pretty special day (I'm sure some extra spooks and spirits will materialize during your visit)
Disneyland Park still enforces its regular policy that guests 14 years of age or older are not allowed to wear costumes in the park. Any kids under 14 years old in your party are welcome to wear costumes that day (or any other day) as long as they don't include masks that cover their whole face or obstruct their vision, but adults are not permitted to wear costumes.
Some special ticketed events do allow guests to wear costumes. For example,
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party follows different
costume guidelines than regular days in the parks. Sadly, the party is already sold out for this year. But if wearing a costume in the parks is something you're dreaming of, it would be a good experience to put on your wish list for another year!
Your wardrobe might not be as magical as you were planning, but there will still be a lot to enjoy for
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort!
Día de los Muertos in Frontierland features colorful decorations including the iconic skeletons called
calacas in celebration of the Day of the Dead. Plus, there's some delicious food at
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante including the seasonal favorite Pan Dulce Sundae that's topped with a colorful chocolate skull. Yum!
Dorian, I'm sorry the adults in your crew won't be able to dress in costume. But I'm sure you'll still have a fantastic time! I would also recommend checking the Entertainment Calendar when your visit is a little closer. Who knows what extra spooky fun might mysteriously appear for Halloween? I especially suggest watching
The Dapper Dans. The songs they sing for Halloween are some of my favorites!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
