We're visiting Disneyland in Oct and are staying at a good neighbor hotel. We'll receive Magical Extra Savings that include some restaurants in Downtown Disney District. Which restaurants are typically included so we can make dining reservations?

Hi there, Jennie! We are so happy to have you here at planDisney!

It sounds like you have booked a Good Neighbor Hotel Package at the Disneyland Resort! Staying in the magic is such a great way to experience the Happiest Place on Earth! You can enjoy every moment knowing that you can always take a midday break or are just a short walk back to your hotel after enjoying a Nighttime Spectacular! I know for me, it makes those Disneyland days stretch a bit longer and lets us relax and find even more magical moments.

You are correct! Your Good Neighbor Hotel Package will include some Magical Extra Savings at select restaurants throughout Downtown Disney District. Your Travel ePackage, which includes your theme park tickets, travel itinerary, and voucher for Magical Extras, will be delivered to your Disneyland Resort account four days ahead of arrival. If you haven't already, be sure to link the package confirmation number to your account by navigating to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner of the Disneyland mobile app and selecting "Hotel Reservations". You will see the option to link a new reservation. This will ensure smooth delivery of your Travel ePackage and also allow you to make theme park reservations even though you don't have your tickets quite yet. The system will recognize that you have purchased a vacation package.

When it comes to the Magical Extra Savings, I checked with a Cast Member, and the specific restaurants offered are always changing. Your voucher will specify which restaurants are offering the magical savings discount during your stay. I know, this makes it difficult to make those reservations ahead of time! We Disney planners like to get all our planning ducks in a row well ahead of our arrival. Reservations can be hard to come by only four days out, so my best suggestion here is to make a few dining reservations at restaurants you genuinely want to try. Once you receive the voucher, hopefully, a few of them will line up! When you head to the "Things to Do" tab at the top of the Disneyland website and select "Make Reservations", you will notice a drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the next page. If you tap into the menu, you can filter the search to just include restaurants in Downtown Disney District to make your decision-making a bit easier!

While you're enjoying your meal and magical savings, be sure to pop into WonderGround Gallery. This is one of my favorite spots to purchase Disney-inspired artwork from some amazingly talented artists! You will find the most unique works of art featuring your favorite attractions and characters!

Jennie, while I know this was likely not the straightforward answer you were hoping for, I do hope it was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Keep wishing on those stars!
