We’re visiting Disneyland next week. We’ve purchased 4 day tickets and I thought I read that we could do one day of early entry but I’m confused by “Magic Hour” vs “Magic Morning.” Does one apply to us if we’re staying off site at a “good neighbor” hotel?

    Greetings, Katherine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'd be happy to assist you with planning the details of your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation!

With benefits like Extra Magic hour and Magic Morning, I know there can be some confusion with these terms, so I would love to help explain them both to you. You are correct that Guests who purchase a 3+ day park ticket have access to one early entry, or one Magic Morning early admission benefit during their trip. This benefit can be used on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday only at Disneyland Park one hour prior to official park opening. It doesn't matter where you are staying to use this benefit.

The Extra Magic Hour benefit is reserved just for Guests staying on-site at one of the three official Disneyland Resort Hotels. This allows Guests of these hotels with valid park tickets the ability to enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park one hour prior to official park opening.

Both early admission benefits are priceless as they can let you experience some of your favorite attractions with very little wait time, so I always make sure to tell Guests to take advantage of these special mornings. I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
