Hi there, Brenda!
The
balloons we have picked up at the Disneyland Resort have given us so much joy. We still have one that we purchased during our New Year’s Eve visit to the Disneyland Resort. It even has most of its original air in it nearly three months later! I love the idea of deflating your balloon to reuse at home. It’s a sustainable way to prolong the magic of your Disneyland Resort vacation. I think
Mr. Fredricksen and Russell would approve!
I’d like to recommend the balloon deflation method that we have used. It involves something you might already have included in your travel toiletries bag. It’s a nail clipper! Use the clipper to snip away the clasp of the zip ties that wrap around the balloon opening. If you are careful to avoid cutting the balloon itself, the balloon can even be reinflated to make more “
Married Life”-inspired,
mountain-high magic at home. Or, as my
planDisney pal Kristen suggests, the deflated balloon may fit nicely into your own “Adventure Book” of memories from your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Ellie Fredricksen would be proud.
Tony’s Tip: It used to be that balloons could only be purchased with cash. But since
Emperor Kuzco apparently inspired a “no touchy” trend over the past few years, balloon vendors at the Disneyland Resort also now accept contactless payments, credit cards, and even
Disney Gift Cards.
I hope you and your son enjoy making many magical memories at the Disneyland Resort, Brenda. Be sure to take lots of pictures to include in your “Adventure Book.” Which reminds me, did you know that at the Disneyland Resort, complimentary
Disney PhotoPass downloads are included with the purchase of the
Disney Genie+ service? Access to select
Lightning Lanes, PhotoPass, and more? You and your balloon will be
Soarin’ high with joy over that!
“
Adventure is out there,” Brenda!
