We will be visiting Disneyland next April. I´d like to know if Downtown District is pet friendly to walk around. I know the Parks are not, but what about to walk by or enter the stores carrying on may little dog. Thanks in advance

Hola, Maria Veronica, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m delighted to hEAR that your Disneyland Resort vacation is almost here! You are correct that pets aren’t allowed inside the Disneyland Resort theme parks, unless they’re Service Animals. Unfortunately, that rule applies to the Downtown Disney District, too. However, you can board your dog at the Disneyland Resort Kennel Club, located just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, for a daily fee. You don’t have to be inside the parks to utilize the Kennel, you just need to be within the Resort. All pets allowed at the Kennel are welcome to ride on the Disneyland Resort tram from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. For more information about the Kennel, click here.

While you’re perusing the shops within the Downtown Disney District, you won’t want to miss Disney Home – they have a fantastic assortment of adorable Disney-inspired chew toys, collars, and other pet paraphernalia sure to please your pooch!

Please stop by with any other questions as you continue planning your dream vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
