I will be visiting Disneyland in May with my mom and she will need to rent a scooter. I understand the tram isn't running for now, is there an opportunity to rent a scooter so she doesn't have to walk the tram route?

    Hey there, Carrie!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today, I’ll be more than happy to help answer your question.

I can’t wait for you all to finally Return to a Land of Magic. You all must be so excited about this visit! My sisters and I usually take a girl’s trip with our mom each summer. We haven’t been able to do so just yet, but we all agreed that once Disneyland Resort welcomes back out-of-state Guests, that’s where we will be going.

Now, when it comes to renting an ECV for your mom, you’re in luck! My friends, who have recently visited, have said there are rentals for strollers, wheelchairs, and ECVs on the lower level of the parking structure. This allows Guests to rent and/or return before/after taking the tram walkway. Please do not worry, your mom will not have to complete that journey by foot.

Carrie, please also keep in mind that rentals are subject to availability and are on a first come first served basis. I do recommend arriving sooner than later, so that you can rent one for the day.

I do hope this helps answer your question. Please have a Magical time back and enjoy your visit!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
