We will be visiting Disneyland from March 1-8, 2025 staying at the Pixar Place Resort. I understand that the Monorail will not be running most of those days. One guest is fighting cancer and needs to go back and forth...is there any transport option?

Dearest James, I am so sorry to hear about your friend's health challenges but am glad you have special time with them at the Happiest Place on Earth coming up very soon. I am grateful there's a magical place like Disneyland where troubles may seem far way, if even for a moment - at least that's been my family's experience when we've faced difficult times.

Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with this important question about easy access to the parks and how kind of you to be thinking through the options for your friend! You are correct, the Disneyland Monorail is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment through March 6, 2025, and set to reopen on March 7, 2025, according to the Daily Events Schedule. It is important to know, however, that these dates can change at any time. I encourage you to check back to the Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website for any updates. Make sure you've selected your specific dates at the top.

I do have some great news for you, James! Because you and your party are staying at the Pixar Place Hotel, you'll be able to take advantage of one of the best perks Guests have while staying there - the exclusive park entrance to California Adventure right across the street from the hotel! This entrance/exit is actually closer to Pixar Place Hotel than the Monorail, and includes a very short, peaceful walk in and out of the park.

You are in for a delightful stay at the Pixar Place Hotel, oh my goodness! My son and I adored the whimsical artistry on our recent visit, and the chance to hear Joe Gardner from "Soul" tickling the ivories in the lobby is a magical moment, for sure.

I hope this information has been helpful for you, James. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort, or you'd like me to share some of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical visit, like the "secret" spot next to Sleeping Beauty Castle for that perfect picture, please stop by again anytime.

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
