We are visiting Disneyland Jun 9-12 this year, for our 2 year old’s first visit. I am really worried that the Star Wars crowds will be unbearable for a toddler. Do you think the crowds will be too overwhelming in other areas of the park for a toddler?

    Hey there, Natalie!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great questions. Your toddler's first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is going to be unforgettable.

While we still don't have all the details about the grand opening of the much-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I do think that the Disneyland Resort will be a very popular destination during the first few months of this land. This doesn't mean that you won't be able to have a great time, but I will give you some tips to really help you maximize your time in the parks.

First, make sure you arrive early each day, at least 30 minutes before official park opening. Not only are mornings the least crowded, but this is also when little ones tend to be in the best mood. We always have been able to do our "must-do" attractions within the first 2 hours of park opening. Bring some on-the-go breakfast items and a coffee in line so you will be fueled up for your morning of fun! Even better is if you are staying on Disneyland Resort property with Extra Magic Hour access each day.

Keep your eyes on the Disneyland app during the day for real-time attraction wait times. This will help you plan your day. Also on the Disneyland app is the amazing Disney MaxPass feature that lets you make Disney FASTPASS selections right from your mobile device. Since you don't need to purchase a ticket for your little one just yet, I highly recommend investing in this feature as soon as you arrive on the app to get the most out of your day. If I sense that crowd levels are low, I might not always use it, but if I am visiting on a popular day, I ALWAYS purchase Disney MaxPass. This will let you experience the most attractions with the least wait.

I hope this helps and may the Force be with you!
