Hello, Laura! I love helping my fellow Coloradans plan trips to the Disneyland Resort, so thanks for stopping by! As I sit here with three inches of snow outside and temperatures in the single digits, I am dreaming of a Disney vacation and envious of your upcoming trip.
Visiting the Disneyland Resort in January usually means temperatures in the upper 50s to the 70s. The mornings and evenings will definitely be cool, so I suggest layering. A light coat or sweater will certainly be needed as you start your days, but it's possible that temperatures might become quite warm in the afternoon and you will want short sleeves. Also, while it is almost always sunny in Anaheim, you could experience some rain during this time of year. I actually really like it when it rains at the parks as often that means the crowds disperse and you can get a lot done if you can manage the elements.
Since you will be traveling to the Pacific Time Zone, you will find that getting an early start to your days will be pretty easy, even if your family aren't necessarily early risers. Starting your days early and taking advantage of any
early admission options is the best way to see and do everything on your must-do list during your vacation. We often find that by lunch time we feel really accomplished and welcome a bit of a break or some pool time. Speaking of pools, if you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, all the pools are heated. So you might even want to bring along your swimsuits - yes, even in January!
I would love to help you continue to plan your trip, so please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
