    We are visiting Disneyland the first week of October 2013 and I was wondering if you knew if Big Thunder mountain would be open by then? Also Have you heard anything about the happy haunts tour and what does it involve? Thank you so much!

    I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time! October is one of my favorite months to visit. I love enjoying all of the festive seasonal decorations, entertainment and treats at the theme parks during that time of year.

    From what I’ve heard, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is expected to be closed for refurbishment through October 30, although this is subject to change. Be sure to check the attractions guide upon arrival at Disneyland Park for the latest status of “the wildest ride in the wilderness!”

    Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour takes you on a memorable adventure filled with happy haunts and spooky sightings throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll experience select attractions and spine-tingling tales as you’re lead by your own Tour Guide through the parks. Guests also receive a special Halloween treat and festive collectible pin and button that are redesigned each year. Please call (714) 781-TOUR (8687) to check availability and make reservations.
