HI! We are visiting Disneyland for the first time! My son is 9 and we are planning to go in October. I would love ANY and ALL tips! We would really like to attend Halloween festivities. Also how is the weather mid October? Thanks!!

    Hello Amber!

October is a wonderful time to visit Disneyland Resort! The parks are decked out in Fall and Halloween decorations, there are special events you can purchase tickets to like Mickey’s Halloween Party and the atmosphere is just so magical and fun.

Mickey’s Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event that is one of my family’s favorite seasonal events. After the park closes to the general public, they offer dancing, trick-or-treat stations, fireworks and the villains even come out to play for a while. This event makes for some truly memorable experiences.

As far as the weather, Southern California is almost always perfect park weather. Temperatures can be as mild as the 50s and 60s or even warm up into the 70s and 80s. Disneyland Resort has a great When to Visit guide that details out park hours, average temperatures and what special themes or events they may offer throughout the year.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions while you are planning your visit. See you real soon!
