Hi there Karen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited to help you plan your very first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! I have visited Disney Destinations throughout my entire pregnancy and didn't feel like I was missing out on any of the fun. You will find that there are so many attractions you will still get to experience with your daughter. I loved riding classics like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, "it's a small world," and the Disneyland Railroad to name a few. You can easily search online to see a list of attractions that are not recommended for expectant mothers. On the
Disneyland Resort Attractions Page, you can filter under "Accessibility & Advisories" and select "Expectant Mothers Advisory." This will pull up a list of attractions you should not ride. As always, it's still best to discuss your trip with your Doctor first.
You also will not want to miss the parades, fireworks, and unique entertainment options at the Disneyland Resort. Make sure you check the
Daily Events Schedule online to see times of all the spectacular performances. This schedule is usually updated about six weeks in advance.
Your trip priorities really will depend on your daughter's interests and whether she's more of a princess, pirate, or padawan. Five year olds love meeting their favorite Characters, so make sure you check the
Disneyland app for locations and times of these each day. Familiarize yourself with the app before your trip and discuss with your family their "must-do" attractions, dining, and Character stops to save you time on your trip.
I hope this helps give you a head start on planning your magical vacation, and feel free to return if you with any other questions. Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah Day!
