I will be visiting Disneyland this coming weekend. I originally purchased one day per park tickets, however is it possible to upgrade to a park hopper? and how would I do this? Can I add a day also?

Hi Christine! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

You must be excited about your trip being just a moment away! And I completely understand wanting more flexibility in your visit. We love the Park Hopper option on our trips to Disneyland Resort. We'll start in one park, hop over for lunch in the other park, and hop back for evening entertainment and a Table Service meal. You have the freedom to do that! The good news is that you should be able to add Park Hopper as an upgrade to your existing ticket. I can help with that.

I suggest adding Park Hopper before you arrive. Most of the time, these upgrades can be handled in advance over the phone. To do this you'll want to speak with a friendly Cast Member on the Tickets phone line, who can assist you. Be sure to have your ticket ID number and method of payment handy, as you'll have to pay for the upgrade. And be sure you have theme park reservations to go along with your shiny new Park Hopper ticket: They're still required for entry.

Your other option is to add Park Hopper while you're visiting. You can start at the park you have a theme park reservation for, and then head to the main ticket booths to add Park Hopper when you're ready to hop to the next park. Again, you'll want to make sure your theme park reservations are in place for the whole of your trip after making the upgrade.

Does your ticket have Disney's Genie+ Service added? If not, you have the option to add that any day of your visit after you scan into the parks. You should see the link to purchase on the homepage of the Disneyland mobile app. That's another option my family doesn't like to go without! We spend less time in lines and more time enjoying the magic of our family vacation. Prices are subject to change and availability is not guaranteed, so the price you see today in the app might be different on some days of your visit.

    I hope this helps!
