    Visiting Disney w/2 yr son. Most character dinners & events are booked. Wanted to do the Fantastmic Playndine but no avail. There are tickets for dessert w/a show. If purchased now can I exchange them if playndine becomes available?

    I'd say you have a fun night planned with Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey at his Fantasmic! spectacular. It sounds like your preferred plan is a Fantasmic! Dining Package at Hollywood & Vine with Disney Junior Play ‘n’ Dine, and you're thinking of the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience as your "Plan B."  The Fantasmic! Dining Package requires a credit card guarantee, while the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience requires advance payment. There is a cancellation policy for the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience. You would need to cancel at least 1 day or more  before the event to receive a refund of your advance payment. If you cancel within 1 day or do not show then you would be charged for the full price. So you could reserve and provide advance payment for Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience, and keep checking for Fantasmic! Dining Package availability. If you find an available reservation for Fantasmic! Dining Package, you can cancel the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience for a refund. You'll want to be sure to know and follow the cancellation policies of all your reservations.
