We are visiting Disney World this year in the period between Christmas and New Years. Every day that week, Magic Kingdom is listed as having no parades. Is this really true? It seems very odd!

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Jelena. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season. How fa-la-la-la-fabulous!

I love everything about a Disney vacation (truly!), but if I had to pick just one thing as my absolute favorite, I'd pick parades on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom. Even as a little girl I can remember waiting on the curb with anticipation and excitement as a parade was about to begin. It gets me verklempt every time! I would certainly be disappointed if parades weren't listed on the schedule at Magic Kingdom Park. While you don't currently see any parades listed on the schedule for the week of your visit, don't worry! Usually, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade performs daily the week of Christmas. This very merry parade is not to be missed!

Be sure to check out Your Ultimate Holiday Guide for Everything Walt Disney World as you're counting down the days to your visit. It has all the tips you need to celebrate the season in and out of the theme parks!

I hope this was helpful, Jelena. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Disney vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
