We will be visiting Disney World with our 3-year old son and 7-year old daughter. It's everyone's first visit. We'll only be there four days. Are we better off visiting each park once or skipping Hollywood Studios so that we could do MK or Epcot twice?

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

Because of the ages of your children, I suggest that you skip Animal Kingdom.  Four of the park's attractions, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl and, my favorite, Expedition Everest, have height requirements of 38", 40", 48" and 44" respectively.... Although the park has the best shows, we're talking Broadway quality, of all the Disney parks, I think I would go with your gut and have a second day to explore Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a must for the younger set, even more so than Epcot, because it features all of the new Disney and Pixar characters that so many of today's kids know from the movies and television: Buzz Lightyear, the Muppets, Lightning McQueen and favorites from Playhouse Disney.  And don't miss the afternoon parade!

Leave your "variable day" for the last day so you'll know which one you want to return to.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
