Visiting Disney world with a 7 year old boy in April for 5 days what are some must do activities and character dining opportunities other than pirates league?

    Hi Kiara,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. I can imagine the excitement in your house about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am so glad that you have already considered the Pirates League!

Character meals are indeed an excellent way to meet some favorite characters. We always visit Chef Mickey's and have been greeted by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals Pluto, Donald, and Goofy. My girls still enjoy eating at the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom to visit with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. We also love the Coral Reef restaurant even though there are no characters because the aquarium is spectacular. You can dine while looking at over 4,000 forms of sea life!

If your 7-year old is a Star Wars fan, Disney's Hollywood Studios is a must-do, especially Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. You must sign-up for Jedi Training on the day your youngling wants to train. I suggest that you arrive to the park before park opening. As soon as guests can enter, head to the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost to sign-up. Your child must be with you to register. Slots fill quickly so consider making a dining reservation at Hollywood & Vine before park opening.

Of course, there are so many Attractions he may love! I suggest Tomorrowland Speedway, the Barnstormer, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Toy Story Mania! and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spins.

    Happy Planning!
