We are visiting Disney World the week of Easter and have 2-day PH passes. We are hoping to split our time between MK, HS and Epcot. How easy is it to get from park to park and about how long will it take? We plan to ride the bus and visit 2 parks/day.

    Hey, Dana!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Easter is a wonderful time of year. With butterflies fluttering by and bunnies hiding eggs, Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot are alive with Easter. Actually, there are touches of Easter at each theme park including parades, specialty treats like cupcakes, dancing hippos (yes, dancing hippos) and Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.

It is very easy to move around Walt Disney World Resort because Disney provides many modes of transportation including flying elephants and magic carpets. Disney recommends budgeting 90 minutes of travel time when moving within Walt Disney World Resort. That being said, it has never taken us this long. All three theme parks are relatively close to one another. Personally, I would budget 30-40 minutes and would use the following modes of transportation between theme parks. I also included the average time it takes my family to travel.

    * Epcot Monorail Line between Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot - about 30 minutes
    * Bus between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios - about 20 minutes
    * Bus between Epcot and DIsney's Hollywood Studios - about 20 minutes
    * Walking path from Epcot to DIsney's Hollywood Studios through the Epcot International Gateway and Disney's BoardWalk Area - about 30 minutes

Always give yourself some extra padding in case the Walt Disney World Monorail Service or buses are having an issue.

Disney Dad Tip: The nighttime fireworks at all three parks are fantastic. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular. If you love Star Wars then enjoy Star Wars music as you witness the power of the Force in fireworks.

Dana, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
