We will be visiting Disney World soon with 4 day Park Hopper passes. The first day of our vacation is also my son's third birthday. Does he need a ticket for the week?

    Hi Megan,

A trip to Walt Disney World sounds like a great way to celebrate your son's birthday! Children under the age of three can enter Disney parks without purchasing a ticket. If your son is turning 3 in the middle of your vacation, I've always been told that tickets are not required for any of the vacation. No cast member is going to question your child's age. If you try to bring him in the parks as an under three child, I'm sure no one would even bat an eyelash. However, technically since your son will be three at the start of your vacation, you should probably use a ticket for his admission.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
