Welcome to planDisney, Louise, from your namesake, also based in the U.K. It sure seems like more and more organic options are available here. While Walt Disney World shows commitment to greater sustainability measures, and there is a wide range of plant-based and gluten-free foods, there was not an abundance of organic-labelled food recently at Walt Disney World.
We did find many healthier options at Walt Disney World, and I would highlight
Garden Grill Restaurant in
EPCOT. It was delicious for lunch (with delightful character interactions), and much of the menu is grown in the nearby conservatory that houses
Living with the Land. I suggest riding this before your meal, as it's fascinating to hear about the research into modern and sustainable farming practices. The nearby
Sunshine Seasons offers nourishing handy snack boxes, which include fruit and cheese. Special mention also goes to
Satu'li Canteen in Animal Kingdom Park, their customisable bowls are nutritious and delicious. The Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl was my perfect midday reviver.
You may find some organic options in some posher, signature dining restaurants, such as
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian - it's always worth speaking with the Cast Member serving to discuss the best options here.
There's a Whole Foods Market just 8 miles from Walt Disney World should you want to stick up on some organic snacks for your room. If I'm honest, while we usually try to maintain a healthy balance on holiday, I can't resist some of the tempting treats at Walt Disney World. I loved the I Lava You Float from
Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom Park, and the popcorn buckets get me each and every day.
Wherever you dine, Louise, I'm sure you'll experience that same Disney thrill that first made you want to become a DVC Member. To quote Walt Disney World's current British advert, 'Welcome Back To Being You'. Though much has changed since 2019, I can assure you the magic and awaiting memories are still there! If you need anything further, we're here to help, Louise.
