We will be visiting Disney World in November. Unfortunately my daughter will have a hard cast on her leg. Will her wheelchair make it through all of the que lines and are there any rides that she is prevented from riding?

Hi Amy! Welcome back to planDisney.

Gawrsh! I am so sorry to read your daughter is in a cast. However, I am thrilled you guys are not letting this stop your fall visit to Walt Disney World Resort. You could not have picked a more inclusive and accommodating vacation for individuals with mobility issues. For most attractions, a wheelchair or scooter can easily go through with no issues. If for any reason her wheelchair cannot pass through the normal queue, a Cast Member will issue you a return time that is comparable to the current wait time.

Did you know, all theme parks have first-come, first-serve Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) for rent? If you are park hopping or visiting Disney Springs on the same day, you can show your receipt at your new location for another scooter to use. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I recommend using Disney's Feature Provider, Scooterbug. With Scooterbug, you can keep your ride for transportation and use around the resort. I have personally used their services and have been very happy with them. Bonus plan, as a Disney Featured Provider, you do not have to be physically present for delivery or pick up at your resort. Scroll down the ECV link I provided above to find a direct link to Scooterbug's website.

Fun Fact, the Disney Skyliner is fully accessible to both wheelchairs and scooters. The colorful gondolas will be taken offline to provide loading assistance. You can wheel your daughter right on in for a peaceful flight. And finally, I recommend bringing a colorful ribbon or bandana to tie on either your wheelchair or scooter to help identify it in a sea of similar-looking rides.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
