We will be visiting Disney World in just under 2 months. We will be a party of 6 and my dad mentioned the the new Animal Kingdom light show has stands...Do we need to reserve seats prior? If so how do we do that?

    Hi Taylor!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

On my most recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort, one of our top priorities was to see Disney's Animal Kingdom's new nighttime show, Rivers of Light. It's a beautiful show, with amazing animal floats on the water that look like stained glass. The show is a celebration of the beauty of all living things, and trust me, it really does feel like a celebration!

Since Rivers of Light is a new offering, Guests are very excited to see what it's all about. That can make for long standby lines! If you're able to secure a FastPass+ reservation for the show, I encourage you to do so. The standby line was forming almost two hours prior to show time the night we were there, so a FastPass+ would come in handy!

To make sure we had seats to see the show, we decided to make reservations for a Rivers of Light Dining Package. Dining Packages are offered at two awesome restaurants: Tusker House (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) or Tiffin's (Lunch or Dinner). Tusker House features an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, while at Tiffin's you'll feast on your choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. After your meal, you'll receive a reserved seating voucher to present when you enter the amphitheater. The entrance is right across from the Theatre in the Wild, home to Finding Nemo: The Musical. Seats aren't assigned within the section, and are first-come, first served. We were able to find seats down near the water, and the view was amazing!

I hope you're able to secure seats for Rivers of Light - you're going to love it! - Diane W.
