Welcome to planDisney, Prince! I remember taking my sons to the Disney Parks when they were the same ages as your kids! There is so much excitement at those ages! Your family is going to have a great time visiting Mickey and Minnie!
The most important advice that I can offer is to schedule some planned “downtime” during your vacation! The Disney Parks are amazing, however, families need time to chill by the pool, take a midday nap, or just enjoy the resort hotel. If your kids are early risers, wake up early and head to the parks at opening time. If they are night owls, allow them to sleep in and then stay in the parks until closing time.
With a 3-day ticket, I absolutely recommend a day at
Magic Kingdom Park! That is the most iconic of the four Disney Parks. There are classic attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain! Of course, there are newer attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run and the just-opened Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! I also recommend Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic!
With tickets for two other days, you’ll need to select from EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I recommend talking to your kids about their interests. Do they love Guardians of the Galaxy, Frozen, and Moana? If so, then I think you should visit
EPCOT! Or, do they prefer Toy Story, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and thrill rides? If the answer is “yes!” then an adventurous day at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios awaits you! Of course, you can ride on the back of a banshee, come face-to-face with the Yeti, or take a ride through the safari at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Prince, tell the kids their options and let them pick the parks!
Prince, I see you’re visiting later this month! I recommend purchasing Disney Genie+. This feature, available through the My Disney Experience app, will allow you to have shorter wait times at select attractions in the Disney Parks. It’s a great time saver!
A PRO TIP that I will also share is to remember that you can enter a theme park, leave the park, and then re-enter the same park. So, take that afternoon break back at the resort hotel and then head back to the park to enjoy more fun!
Dreams do come true!
