Hi Jennifer,
Hooray for first time visit! Your son is going to light up when he sees his favorite characters for the first time. There are several fantastic dining options for preschoolers. My girls love
Character Meals. We especially enjoy
Chef Mickey's,
1900 Park Fare,
Hollywood & Vine, and
Cinderella's Royal Table. Chef Mickey's is located at the Contemporary Resort, 1900 Park Fare is at the Grand Floridian Resort, Hollywood & Vine is at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Cinderella's Royal Table is located in Magic Kingdom. It does not get more magical than dining in the castle! Your son might also enjoy the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh and Friends.
Each time we have visited Chef Mickey's, the characters do a little dance party. It was fun but low key. Kids and families could participate at their tables by waving their napkins. At 1900 Park Fare, the characters danced with certain guests. On one visit, the wicked stepmother danced with one of our girls. The pictures were priceless! During our last visit, my girls participated in the party walk around the restaurant at the Crystal Palace. So, when you arrive at your character meals, be prepared, some characters may ask you to boogey!
Be sure to make
Advanced Dining Reservations. Restaurants fill quickly!
