I am visiting Disney World in May 2015 with my 10 yr old son. He is looking forward to the waterparks and really wants to do Humunga Cowabunga and Summit Plummit but I do not want to do them and he cannot go on them alone. Can you help ??. Thanks.

    Karen:

You won't believe the number of folks who go up the platforms and steps to Summit Plummet and Humunga Kowabunga, only to realize it is a bigger drop to the end of the slide than it looks from the ground. They choose not to take the plunge and return to lower ground... Because I was one of these people (cough. cough), I know that you can walk with your son almost up to the top and then head back down once he's taken off. As long as he meets the height requirements, he's good to enjoy--and that word is a stretch for me for these attractions--these slides by himself. Don't forget to decide ahead of time on a meeting point right off the exit of the slide for safety.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
