Hi Leonie, welcome to planDisney!
Like you, some of my favorite Disney characters hail from the UK. Alice in Wonderland has spunk, Mary Poppins has imagination, Wendy Darling has maternal instincts, and you have an adventurous spirit. Let's get you to Walt Disney World Resort!
At this time, UK-based Guests can only buy 7 or 14-day Magic Tickets from the
Walt Disney Travel Company. That's the magical problem, now let's discuss magical solutions. As soon as you arrive in the United States next March, you can check the
theme park reservation availability calendar, purchase one or two-day theme park tickets on
Disneyworld.disney.go.com, and make your
theme park reservations. This option includes some risk as theme park reservations tend to start booking up one month in advance. Another option is to enlist the help of a United States-based pal that can connect with you as
Family and Friends, purchase a ticket on your behalf, and
link it to your My Disney Experience account.
Something to keep in mind, Leonie, is that 2023 tickets go on sale June 8 in the United States. For reference, two-day 2022 tickets are valid for two days within a four-day window. It saves money to buy one, two-day ticket as opposed to two, one-day tickets, so I encourage you to think through the scheduling of your park days as I understand you'll be exploring other Orlando-area destinations.
Once you decide how you'll secure your theme park tickets and reservations, it's time to start Disney dreaming about everything you're going to experience during the
50th Anniversary Celebration. This
Little Big Book of Magic will help get you started.
Plan magic; planDisney.
