We will be visiting Disney World in March. When paying for counter service or at sit down restaurants, how do you pay? Do they scan your wrist band, pay at the table via kiosk, give the server your debit card, or pay cash?

Bienvenue, Roger! Welcome to planDisney! We invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as we present...your question!

Whether you're gathered around the table in an amazing restaurant or grabbing a quick treat on the go, food is all part of the fun at the Walt Disney World Resort. And Disney has made paying for your gastronomic adventures as easy as scarfing up a plate of Mickey waffles. Let's take a look at all the ways to get your fill of the fare on your Walt Disney World vacation.

First up, if you plan to nosh from a quick service restaurant, you'll need to make sure you've downloaded the My Disney Experience app to your phone since almost all of them require you to use the Mobile Ordering feature. It's super easy to use! Just find the quick service location you want, make your selections from the menu, and pay right in the app with your connected credit card. Then hit "I'm here" when you arrive and your order will be ready in minutes. It's so quick and easy, and we love this feature!

When it comes to table service, there have been a few changes to the procedures and menus, although the payment method is much the same as before. My family had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom Park just this past weekend (Ooey-Gooey Toffee Cake for the win!). We were staying at a Disney Resort hotel and opted to pay with our MagicBands, so the server brought out a device to scan the band and allow us to enter our PIN. Then she brought a paper receipt where we entered the tip and signed. This process should be similar if you're using a credit card or Disney Gift Card to pay your check.

One other cool function on My Disney Experience is the ability to use Mobile Check-In for your table service dining. Around 15 minutes before your reservation time, you can just fire up the app and check in without having to visit the podium. Then when your table is ready, you'll get an alert on your phone that it's time to feast!

Oh, and while we're talking food, Roger, you won't want to miss all the delectable dishes at the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival during your visit in March. The Outdoor Kitchens really bring the flavor to the festival!

I hope this helps you plan a delicious vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, Roger. Please come break bread with us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
