Hi Caroline,
Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to hear from a fellow Canadian and
Disney Vacation Club Member - Welcome Home! It won't be long before you're packing your suitcases and heading to Disney World, so let's take a look at your questions.
In the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can check the status of your theme park tickets by clicking on the (☰) at the bottom right-hand of the screen and then tapping "My Tickets & Passes. If your passes are blue, you're good to go; if they are yellow, you'll need to activate them/show proof of Canadian residency (if they are part of the
Canadian Resident Ticket Offer). This can be done at any Guest Services location, including
Disney Springs. I always like to stop by either the Welcome Center (Guest Services) or the Disney Ticket Center before our first theme park day and activate tickets so everything is ready to go.
One of the easiest and most effective ways I’ve found to manage spending is by using Canadian Disney Gift Cards for purchases like theme park tickets, dining, merchandise, and even entertainment.
When Canadian Disney Gift Cards are used at
Disney World, the balance is automatically converted to U.S. dollars using the previous night’s exchange rate. Any remaining balance will then appear in U.S. dollars on your receipt. Many Canadians love this approach because it helps avoid the extra foreign transaction fees that often come with credit cards, and it’s also a fantastic way to budget for your trip.
I hope this makes planning a little easier! If you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again.
Adventure is out there,
Candace
