    We will be visiting Disney World mar 31st through april 6th 2009, When can we see Mickey's Fantasmic? and where is a good dining restaurant to make reservations at before seeing Fastasmic? There is two adults and three children. Thank you very much.


    Wow  your Disney trip is just days away! Fantasmic is scheduled on Wednesday April 1st and Thursday April 2nd at 8:30pm and Sunday April 5th and Monday April 6th at 8:30 and 10:00pm.

    We love to use the Fantasmic dining package, which is available at three locations in Hollywood Studios and provides guests with not only a delicious dinner but entrance into a reserved section of seats for the Fantasmic show. All three of the restaurants on the package are delicious but the styles are quite different.

    Hollywood and Vine is a buffet dinner which offers a wide selection of carved meats, vegetables, salads and desserts. This would be a great choice if you have picky eaters and will need a variety of food options. The second location is The Brown Derby. Imagine old Hollywood complete with caricature drawings and chandeliers. The menu features the famous Cobb salad as well as a selection of seafood, steak and chicken, (The grouper I had recently was incredible.) We love this location but stayed away from it when our boys were younger as I was often worried about my three loud boys in the middle of a fine restaurant. The third choice is our favorite as it seems to fit the moods of my boys the best, Mama Melrose. This is a quirky Italian warehouse with an open kitchen design. The restaurant is lively and noisy and full of action. The menu typically offers a delicious filet, pasta, risotto and yummy flatbreads.

    These packages are quite popular and can be booked ninety days in advance. Given that you are traveling during the spring break crowds you may need to choose the location that has an opening. If the packages are booked, there may still be room at the three restaurants without the reserved seating for the show so be sure to ask.
