We are visiting Disney World and my in laws have purchased a single day at the water parks. Can we visit both parks in one day using that ticket or would they need two tickets? We are AP and have the water parks added to our passes.

Hi Shane! Welcome back to planDisney!

Oh boy! You're Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it! With only a few days left until you're arrival, let's jump right into your question and help you get set up for a magical stay!

You'll be happy to know that a 1-Day Water Park Ticket will grant your in-laws access to both water parks. Beginning tomorrow, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach will both be open at the same time for the first time in over five years. This allows Guests to choose which park they plan to visit, and in your case, venture to both on this day.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is no direct transportation from one water park to the other. If you have a vehicle with you, this will be your easiest option to travel to each one. Parking at the water parks is on a first-come, first-served basis, and once the parking lot reaches capacity, you will be directed elsewhere to park. For Typhoon Lagoon, you'll be directed to Disney Springs, while at Blizzard Beach, you'll be sent to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Once there, Disney Bus Transportation will take you to the water park. I don't anticipate you having any issues if you arrive early at the first park of the day, but I wanted to mention this if you plan to park hop.

If you're traveling from a Disney Resorts hotel, you'll take a bus to the destination I mentioned for parking and then transfer to a bus to the water park. Otherwise, you can use a ride-share service for direct access to the parks. While this does come with a cost, it will be the most efficient way to get there.

Shane, I hope you have a fantastic time with your family during your stay! Both water parks are packed with thrilling attractions and relaxing adventures, so make sure to soak it all in while you are there.

    See ya real soon!
