Hi Lindsay,
HOW EXCITING! You and your family are going to LOVE experiencing a Walt Disney World Resort vacation together! I, too, am a mama of many and would be happy to share some tips with you to help your visit go as smoothly as possible!
First, don’t feel like you need to experience
everything to have an amazing time. I’d encourage you to watch some of the
planning videos together and look through some of the
attractions and
entertainment opportunities to see what seems most appealing to each of your kiddos, then use the
FastPass+ service to schedule some of your top picks. Don’t forget about the wonderful
Rider Switch service, too, if there are some more thrilling attractions that your little ones aren’t quite ready for. We always saved those attractions for the afternoon while the little ones napped in the stroller. Another great afternoon idea is to head back to your Disney Resort hotel to enjoy naps and a refreshing swim before soaking up some more magic and fun in the evening. Next, strollers are a must! There were many years that my hubby and I pushed around two double strollers to make sure all of our littles were comfy. Just be sure to check out the
new stroller requirements before you arrive. If your strollers don’t meet the size restrictions, feel free to
rent a stroller (or two!) directly from Disney or from one of their featured providers. Finally, the
Baby Care Centers are wonderful places to feed or change a little one or purchase any supplies that you may have forgotten.
As for restaurants, there are SO MANY fantastic
places to dine! Some of my kids’ favorite places when they were little were Chef Mickey’s, 50’s Prime Time Café, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Tusker House Restaurant, ‘Ohana, The Crystal Palace, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
Here are a few more tips I shared with the Disney Parks Blog for traveling with little ones. I hope they're helpful, too.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lindsay, and please come back and see us again with any other questions. I hope that you and your
Mouseketeers have a truly magical vacation!
