We are visiting Disney World in June with my 91 year mom. She is in great health and walks fine. I do worry that she will get tired during the day. Does Disney offer any accommodations for really senior citizens?

Hi there, Anne! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for reaching out with your Walt Disney World Resort question! We appreciate being able to help you and your family plan the perfect trip!

Walt Disney World Resort offers a wide variety of accommodations and services for their Guests with disabilities! This includes older Guests that may need specific services in order to have a magical time!

My first suggestion would be to look into ECV or wheelchair rentals for your mother. Either of these options can be absolutely amazing for those that may fatigue easily! ECVs and wheelchairs may be rented at all four theme parks, both water parks, and Disney Springs. If your mother is likely going to need a mobility device outside of the parks as well, I would recommend looking into Disney Featured Providers for your rental. These are local companies that provide mobility device rentals throughout the Orlando-area and are able to deliver your device directly to your Disney Resort hotel

Also, if your mother has a valid disability parking permit, be sure to bring this with you if you plan on driving! Possessing a valid disability parking permit will allow you to park in the Disability Parking Lots when visiting the theme parks. These parking lots are located closer to the park entrances and will allow your mother to conserve a bit of energy on the way into the parks.

I hope this information helps enhance your mother’s experience while visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
